![]() With my current build I've got 14 base hp on each party member, 23ish base TP, and almost 40 medal points. It's just that it IS a challenge so if you don't want that, it's best off.Ĭurrently polishing off a few last quests before the final chapter in my hard badge run, just a few pointers: If you do struggle though, its more then alright to take off hard mode, its more really a mode designed for people who are extremely familiar with the original paper mario and its sequel The Thousand Year Door, if you arent fluent in the shenanigans of those games, TTYD in particular then hard mode can be quite challenging past chapter 1 It's more made for a challenge in general, plenty of people loved hard mode without having touched pm. Now that you have access to multiple shops starting in chapter 2 as well as the ability to combine items into even better ones at cooks, the game most certainly expects you to take full advantage of these resources they have now provided you, at least with hard mode on. Originally posted by Liro Raériyo:If you DO want to continue on hard mode, just remember that you will need to manage and prep much more, chapter 1 is generous with items because you lack access to facilities to buy items in the first place. ![]() All hard mode will really do is instead of asking Artis for more medals, you buy them at the caravan, but you can select which one you want and drops are lower on normal, but that's it. If it makes you feel better, there is NO MISSABLES in this game so any files as long as you don't glitch the game too hard can be 100%ed, even some achievements that requires hard mode, ALWAYS possible to do it at one point in time. ![]() There's not shame in doing this btw, there's a reason it's a toggle and if it means you'll enjoy the game more, then do it and if you care enough, replay it on hard after beating the game once if you feel like it. Given this, I would tbh take off hard mode. It's not going to be a trend however, not all ch are like that and ch1 is just particularly fairer in case you had issues at the start. ![]() ![]() The saves tbh I would say tends to be generous throughout the game, but one thing to note: ch1 is by design more generous with items than usual to make it easier to get into so that explains why. ![]()
